Community for Accredited Online Schools, a leading resource for online learning and college accreditation information, has released its annual rankings for the 2016-2017 Best Four Year Art Degree Programs in the Nation.
Villa Maria College was ranked #5 on the list.
According to Angela Hanners, Community for Accredited Online Schools’s director of communications, colleges must be a not for profit institution, have institutional accreditation, and offer at least a two-year degree program for completion in order to qualify for this ranking.
The top art schools were determined by using the following methodology:
- Published Tuition & Fees
- Number of Subject Areas Covered by Program Offerings
- Student-to-Teacher Ratio
- Percent of Students Receiving Institutional Financial Aid
- Placement Services Upon Completion
“We wanted to highlight schools, like Villa Maria College, who have made a point to strive for excellence through their art program curricula and effectiveness of instructors” said Doug Jones, CEO and Founder of Community for Accredited Online Schools. “These schools are not only offering exceptional programs to students, but they have upheld rigorous standard through accreditation.”
Community for Accredited Online Schools has distinguished its ranking scale by the use of Peer-Based Value, or PBV. The PBV score compares the cost of each program to the cost of similar programs with the same qualitative score.
