The student body at Villa Maria College is amazing. We’re not caught up in silly segregations based on popularity or hobbies. Everyone gets along—the atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. We are like a giant family.

We are counting down the days until our students are back on campus doing what they do best -- beautifying the Main Building with their art installments, preparing for gallery shows, printing renderings for critiques, enjoying Viking Fest, volunteering in the community...the list goes on. The point is, we miss you, Vikings. 💙💚

Hearing that never gets old. 💙 But we have to give a serious shout out to the families that came before Villa. 💚 Parents that supported you, friends who encouraged you, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins who celebrated you. It was a serious honor to host the next generation of artists (& maybe some future Vikings?!) on campus today! 🎨 Participants in Erie 1 Boces` Inaugural Student Art Competition put their creativity to the test -- they were given a prompt & challenged to create artwork inspired by it, in any medium, in just 2️⃣ hours. 🖌️ Judges (including our own Prof Julie Zack, Prof Joe Giardina, and Prof Jesse Walp) spoke with students to learn more about their creative thought process before selecting the winners. 🙌🏽 Like most things Villa, the results were impressive. Congrats to all participants; come back soon! 🤩⭐️

Exactly 2 years ago, on May 22, 2022, we posted this same photo of Krysta Edwards, waiting to walk the stage & accept her diploma during Commencement.
Krysta started as a student, graduated to become an alum, and now, she continues to be part of the Villa community as an employee! Krysta works in the Provost`s Office and has been the driving force behind all kinds of things here at the College, including VillaCon! Krysta is a vital part of our team -- and we know she has the education to keep her going strong.
