Earlier this summer, AAF Buffalo held its annual student portfolio review. The event, which was held online this year, gives current college students the opportunity to spend 20 minutes chatting with an advertising professional, asking questions and sharing their work.
According to AAF Buffalo, the day’s winners were selected a bit differently than in years past. Their blog states, “In order to offer opportunity to win an award to a wider range of students during such an uncertain time, we decided to give each Breakout Room one vote towards a standout student portfolio of their choice to receive a cash prize.”
Sixteen students who participated and the prize money was divided equally among the top 5 students, instead of first, second, third places as in the past.
Junior Graphic Design Major Lindsay Neilson was one of the five winners of Portfolio Day 2020.
“These are terrific accolades among the entire WNY design and advertising community,” said Julie Zack, professor of graphic design at Villa. “We’re happy we’ve had such prominence with AAF Buffalo this year despite the compromised circumstances!
