Felician Franciscan Heritage Week — Special Speakers Day @ Villa Maria College, Auditorium

Our Felician Franciscan Heritage Week Special Speakers Day on Monday, October 7 at 11:15 am in the Auditorium will include two speakers. Senior Interior Design Student Daniella Hermon will first share her experience of traveling to Cambodia in Southeast Asia over the summer to learn more about attempts to stop human trafficking in that country, next former faculty member Dr. Kim Kotz will tells us about the organization Feed My Starving Children that attempts to end starvation of children around the world and about a local event happening in later October that will give us all an opportunity to do something about it. Please join us for this special event. Open to all students and staff!

Service trip to Little Portion Friary Homeless Shelter @ Little Portion Friary
Oct 18 @ 8:45 am – 12:00 pm

Please join us as we go to Little Portion Friary Homeless Shelter on Main St. in Buffalo. At Little Portion we will help with household chores and light cleaning. We leave the third Friday of every month (September, October and November) at 8:45am and car pool to Little Portion and work until 12:00 pm and return to campus. All are welcome to join us (students and staff) for this important and much needed ministry! A sign-up sheet is outside the VP for Mission Office located off the lobby of the Main Building across from the M & T Conference room or you can email [email protected]

Feed My Starving Children Mobile Food Pack Event @ theWELLbuffalo Church

The annual Feed My Staving Children mobile food pack event organized by former faculty member, Dr. Kim Kotz and usually held at Villa has moved to WELLbuffalo Church, 995 Dodge St. Getzville, NY. We have been asked to help staff the 1-3pm packing session on Friday, October 25. The first 25 who sign up on the sheets outside the VP for Mission Office will be guaranteed a spot in the college vans or you are welcome to meet us there. Gather in the lobby of the Main Building by 12:30pm. Open to all students and staff. Be sure to wear your Villa gear!! For more information contact [email protected].

Service trip to St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy @ St. Luke's Mission of Mercy

Please join us as we return to our monthly service at St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. At St. Luke’s we will help assemble over 1,000 meals for the local needy. We leave the first Friday of every month at 8:45am in the college van and work at St. Luke’s until 12:30 pm and return to campus. All are welcome to join us (students and staff) for this important and much needed ministry!
