Gianluca Ndukanma, a 2023 graduate of Villa Maria’s Computer Software Development program, has joined Villa Maria as an Admissions Data Specialist.
Ndukanma is skilled in MySQL, Python, R, Machine Learning, Tableau, HTML5, CSS, and more. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, he is fluent in both Spanish and English.
In his new role, Ndukanma is responsible for the input, processing, management, and reporting of data for the College’s Admissions Office. This includes managing the College’s CRM and assisting with the student information system. Ndukanma will use his programing experience to create effective, efficient processes and procedures for management of student data related to enrollment. This position is also responsible for maintaining new student enrollment data reporting, creating enrollment reports, and more. He will also work closely with several other offices on campus, including the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Success, Institutional Research, IT, and others.
“We are very excited to have Gianluca join our admissions team,” said Becky Strathearn, Villa Maria’s Director of Admissions. “He is well qualified and, most importantly, has a strong understanding of the College’s culture and its values that guide our operations. He has already built relationships with many of the people he’ll be working alongside, which will make for a smooth transition and immediate improvements to our processes.”
As a student, Gianluca completed an internship with Universidad Nacional de Hurlingham in Argentina, where he worked as a Junior Data Analyst. On campus, he worked as a teaching assistant and tutor, helping other students excel in statistics, computer science, and mathematics.
