“Shoot Me Once, Shame On You” is a short documentary screening reflecting on safety within our school systems in the fight against gun violence. Gun violence has been a prevalent topic within the news and social media, and I think that it’s important to touch upon this topic, so we not only feel safe in our schools, but also in our communities as well. I believe that gun violence gets looked at and then overlooked because people have made it normal in society. This project isn’t to scare anyone, but to contemplate it as a real and valid issue. I hope to make others more aware of the reality of gun violence in our schools and the impact it has had on many.
