Black History Month Kick Off!

Black Excellence Month is a time to celebrate the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of African Americans and descendants of the African Diaspora. During a time where Black History is constantly being threatened, watered down, and erased, the Student Life Department at Villa Maria College is intentional about spreading awareness of the Black communities’ consistent resistance to historic and systemic oppression, uplifting the Black Community, and showing an appreciation for the very Black excellence that is before us.

Join us in the Commons to kick off a month celebrating Black Excellence! We will have a live DJ, karaoke, photo station, student club tabling, and a pledge to fight systemic racism. If you would like to sing karaoke, please sign up using this link.
