Villa Maria College student Rachel Thomas ’17 took home first place in the Salvation Army Re-Fashionista Challenge on March 4, 2014. Participants were required to purchase second hand items from the Salvation Army and transform them into fashionable outfits.
Thomas created a pencil skirt out of a sweatshirt, and a sleeveless cutout blouse from a shirt. She won a European dress form, student supply kit and a consultation with Buffalo designer Ali Eagan. students participated in the
