This Friday, September 27, is the opening reception for Robert Lyall Flock’s exhibit “WORK,” in the Paul William Beltz & Family Art Gallery at Villa Maria College.
“WORK,” a special exhibit of Paintings and Drawings from the 80’s and 90’s by one of Buffalo’s most renowned and prolific painters. Flock is a noted Western New York Abstract-Expressionist artist and teacher, born August 12, 1928 in Buffalo, NY. Primarily he is known for oil and mixed media paintings, mixed media and paper collage work, as well as ink, charcoal & graphite drawings.
His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums regionally and across the United States, and he has won numerous awards for his work, which can be found in public, private and corporate collections, as well as the permanent collection of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the Burchfield-Penney Art Center in Buffalo, NY.
The reception for the artist will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm., and is free and open to the public.
