The New York Upstate/Canada East chapter of the American Society for Interior Designers announced the winners of their annual design awards at the end of September, and for the third year in a row, a Villa Maria College student has taken the top honors in their student design competition.
Sandra Zygaj-Borowski ‘13 was a senior in the Interior Design Program when she submitted her projects, which won both the first and second place awards. Her first place design is a Roswell Park pediatric oncology center, and her second place design is of a minimalist community center. She is currently employed as an Interior Designer at Integrity Office Solutions.
This is also the second year that a Villa student has taken second place at the awards.
Third place was awarded to a student form Sage College in Albany, New York.
