Villa Maria College has launched a new initiative that allows students who excel academically to earn college credit while they are still in high school.
The High School Plus Program, which will launch in August 2021, allows high school juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher to take a course for college credit. This program is being offered with a reduced tuition rate of $100 per class.
“The College’s High School Plus Program is an excellent opportunity for focused, ambitious students who are eager to advance academically while setting themselves apart from their peers” said Becky Strathearn, Villa’s director of admissions. “Students accepted into the program will not only earn transferrable college credits without paying full tuition, they’ll also get an early introduction into the academic expectations required of college students.”
Eligible students can apply to participate in the High School Plus Program beginning in the Fall 2021 semester. The program will be offered during subsequent fall and spring semesters. High school students may enroll in one course per semester.
