Villa Maria’s annual Honors Society Inductions and Honors Convocation will take place next week on April 15 at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, respectively. As in years past, the events will celebrate the significant academic achievements of students and faculty members alike.
During the Honors Society Induction ceremony, 9 students will be inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society of two-year academic programs. Following, 11 students will be inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national scholastic honors society for students of Catholic universities and colleges in the United States.
As part of the Honors Convocation ceremony, one student for each of the College’s 17 academic programs will be recognized as an outstanding student in their field of study. Honors Convocation also serves as an opportunity to recognize several faculty appointments, promotions, and awards.
Due to state and county COVID-19 restrictions, only student participants with limited guests will be able to attend the ceremonies by RSVP. The ceremonies will be live streamed via the College’s YouTube channel so the greater College community may attend and support these exceptional students and faculty members virtually.
The YouTube link is www.youtube.com/c/VillaMariaCollegeBuffalo, and the live stream will be available the date of the event. If you are interested in attending Honors Convocation virtually, please check back then.
