A Letter From the Faculty
This year, we had the pleasure of celebrating two graduating seniors, Lucas Mendes and Lei Anna Craig, and the culmination of their hard work over their four years as Digital Media and Communications students at Villa Maria.
This year’s Showcase demonstrates the passion that Villa’s students have for telling powerful stories that resonate with wide audiences and the creative skills they must utilize to bring those stories to life.
Working with multimedia means giving careful attention to how visual design decisions are implemented across many platforms. Both Lucas’ documentary and Lei Anna’s podcast featured here demonstrate how to navigate these designs with creativity and professionalism.

Villa Talks
Villa Talks is a podcast that I wanted to create for the Villa campus, starting with the DMC students. I wanted them to have a place to feel comfortable enough to express themselves and allow them to talk freely about their own Villa experiences. I created this podcast as something to leave behind. I wanted to reflect on my time as a college student and be grateful for the experiences and connections that I made.
My hope is that the future DMC students will carry on the legacy of this podcast and continue to tell their own stories.

Lei Anna Craig is a Digital Media and Communications student graduating in May of 2024.She is currently a Digital Marketing Intern at Sun Spin Media.

Game Changers
Game Changers is a project designed to show the powerful impact that sports have on all of us in our society. I created this documentary because I am passionate about sports and want to celebrate the role they play in people’s lives.
The power that sports have, whether you’re an athlete or a fan in the crowd, allows for us to have memorable experiences and moments that we’ll always remember.
