Computer Labs

Villa Maria College has a broad range of computer labs, lab classrooms, and open labs which are designed to meet the needs of the College’s varied programs of study.

Open Computer Labs

The open computer labs are designed for general use and include access to both PCs and Macs.  The labs are equipped with B&W and Color Laser Printers and scanners, have internet access, and have access to Microsoft Office 2007.  Labs are open daily from 7:00 am to 11 pm, on Fridays, until 6:00 pm and on Saturdays, until 5:00 pm.

Department Lab Classrooms

These labs are designed to meet the needs of specific programs of study.  The equipment and software installed in the facilities is industry-standard.   Access to the Department Labs is restricted to program students only.  Open lab hours for program-specific rooms are limited to times when no classes are scheduled.  These labs include animation, graphics, photography, interior design, the music recording studio, fashion design, and education.

Electronic Computer Classroom

This facility is dedicated for use for a variety of computer-based classes and can be used as open labs when classes are not in session.  The classroom is equipped with twenty workstations, a B&W and Color Laser Printer, a LCD Projector, a scanner, and an instructor’s computer.
